![]() Leagues
Davis Little League consists of the following 2 youth chartered baseball leagues:
The American and National Leagues are for players between the ages of 4-14. In general, the American league boundaries are East and South Davis, while the National league consists of North and West Davis. (See the About DLL and Registration Information pages for more boundary details.) The American and National Leagues each consist of the following 4 divisions:
With the exception of Juniors all games are played within or between teams in DLL's American and National Leagues. Juniors games are played with other teams within District 64. Click here for more on Juniors inter-league schedule. Team Selection Farm and T-Ball rosters are selected by the Registrar and/or Player Representative for each level. AA is also selected by the Registrar and/or Player Representative, but is a combination of AA age-only players and those who were not drafted onto a AAA team.
Juniors, Majors, and AAA teams are selected by team managers. In order to allow managers to assess each player, skill assessment days ('try-outs') are around the close of registration for each season. Skills assessements only take 5-10 minutes per player and include the following activities: 1) Hitting - 3 pitches.
2) Base running - Run from home to third after final pitch. 3) Fly Balls - From Left Field, two throws to second, the third to home. 4) Ground Balls - From shortstop, field three grounders and throw to first base. 5) Pitching - 3 pitches from mound to a catcher.
